When selecting a fabric, I look for a few things, but the first is a unique pattern.
Then I order a sample, time to test this fabric! We all know kids like to play, explore and get dirty, let’s not talk about how they make that mess in the bathroom every morning simply brushing their teeth!
In comes my built-in testing method of, make something for my own kids, wear, play, wash, repeat! This real world method ensures that the garment you buy from me holds longevity and can be handed down.
Finally come’s affordability, can I buy, wash, cut and sew this product and make it an affordable price for my customer, if the answer to all this is yes, then we have a winner.
For my signature Tees, I will go no further than Elvelykan Design. Based in Sweden, they are known for their funky prints, and that soft Organic Cotton is the best choice for this product. These fabrics are only released a few times a year, so you know you are truly investing in a piece with a unique playful pattern.
Other fabrics are sourced from Australian businesses and have taken years to build up a collection of reliable suppliers. I always ensure they are made from high-quality natural fibers and fit with my testing requirements, only the best for our little ones.

Little Bobbin is based in Wodonga which is a city on the Victorian side of the border with New South Wales, 300 kilometers north-east of Melbourne, Australia. It is separated from its twin city in New South Wales, Albury, by the Murray River. The area is on the doorstep of the alpine region and a stone throw from incredible hiking trails, mountain bike tracks and incredible fishing bodies.
Lauren lives with her husband and two kids in Wodonga and has engaged local legends to continue and grow Little Bobbin magic that Emma Paton started.
